Kent Reeves
Reliable Resource and Photographer.
I picked up my first camera, a Minolta SRT 101, at the age of 20. I had no intention of making a career of it, and not sure it will be one, but now over 40 some odd years later I believe I am serious about it. I still have that first camera and it went all over the world with me where I used it horseback as a packer and cowboy, it was with me in airboats in the Everglades as a biologist doing research on alligators and eventually on trips to East Africa. I went digital in the early part of the 21st century and am still learning the ins and outs of digital.
I eventually settled on photographing the West and the people I am close to and know even if we are meeting for the first time. Most are people of the horse and mule. Captured moments of individuals in a space that is vast and can never be filled except by these people who live in it.
This is my journey, and I am glad you have joined me. I hope my moments capture something for you. Something that resides in you and me. A personal vastness that invites us to visit. I will meet you there.
